Retinopathy Treatment
Retinopathy is a general term referring to a number of eye diseases caused by disorders of the retina. Depending on the cause of the retinopathy, different treatments may be applied by doctors.
Japan Eye Center conducts treatments such as Vitrectomy Surgery, Scleral Buckling Surgery, Retinal Laser Procedures and Intravitreal Injections among others. These procedures are conducted by specialists, aided by advanced machines and equipment to increase the likelihood of success.
Retinopathy treatments aim to prevent further damage to the retina and maximize the potential vision of the patient. Prognostication of vision after treatment is dependent on several factors such as the nature and chronicity of the disease and is best discussed with your doctor.
Japan Eye Center offers several Retinopathy Procedures such as:
- Vitrectomy Surgery: Treatment for retinal diseases such as hemorrhages
- Scleral Buckling Surgery: Repairing of retinal detachment
- Retinal Laser Photocoagulation: Aims to prevent the worsening of retinal disorder
- Intravitreal Injections: Administers medication directly into the eye
- Pneumatic Retinopexy: Direct administration of gas into the eye to correct retinal detachment
Prognosis After Retinopathy Treatment
